Empowering students with mobility challenges to learn, grow, and achieve independence.

At BOOST School, a program of UCP of the North Bay, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their highest level of independence.
Rooted in the principles of Conductive Education, our integrated learning community combines academics, physical development, and life skills to support the whole child.
We honor each student’s unique abilities, providing individualized instruction and therapies that build on their strengths, foster confidence, and promote agency, competence, and a deep sense of belonging; inspiring lasting independence.

Our Mission

To provide an intellectually, physically and emotionally stimulating, safe, opportunity rich environment for people with Cerebral Palsy and other motor disabilities where they can learn to reach their highest level of independence.

Our Approach

BOOST is founded on a collaborative model designed to maximize every student’s achievements.

Our educators work hand-in-hand with a team of specialists to deliver individualized, systematic academic programs that support each student’s unique mobility and learning needs. From occupational, physical, and speech therapy to behavioral support and life skills development, our educators create engaging, goal-oriented lessons that help each child learn in the way that works best for them.

Guided by the principles of Conductive Education, we view learning and movement as deeply connected. Every classroom experience encourages active participation, problem-solving, and independence, skills that extend far beyond the school day.

At BOOST, we celebrate progress in all its forms. Our ultimate goal is to help students build confidence, foster resilience, and discover the joy of reaching new milestones together.

Support for Families

At BOOST School, belonging is at the heart of what we do.
We’re a community of students, families, and educators learning and growing together. While learning begins in the classroom, true growth happens when it continues into everyday life. Our collaborative approach extends beyond the school day, supporting families, promoting inclusion, and advocating for the needs and potential of every student.

“Boost provides a unique learning community for those with mobility challenges such as our son’s Cerebral Palsy.  The program’s strength is rooted in an incredible mixture of teamwork, among students, staff and families.  This is all based in a community characterized by empathy, acceptance, and customized learning experiences.”
